Ritorniamo in Sri Lanka al Walawe Uda National Park, all'ospedale degli elefanti.. Imponenti e teneri allo stesso tempo e ubbidienti come tanti soldatini. Vederli al momento del bagno collettivo e un'esperienza che ti fa venire voglia di far parte anche tu dello staff che li accudisce e li cura. Si lasciano lavare e si divertono pure sono tanto grossi ma sono dei cuccioloni. E poi che dire dei piccoli , un po' imbranati e così simpatici. Certamente ti fanno ancora più tenerezza perché sono orfani, ma saperli in buone mani ti rassicura e poi comunque le altre femmine si prendono cura anche dei piccoli. Chi li accudisce lo fa veramente con amore e tanti sono volontari. Sono elefanti reduci da incidenti o malati , ce n'era uno, con solo tre zampe , una gli era stata amputata perché la ferita causa un'incidente era andata in cancrena, certo era il più coccolato.....E poi le tartarughe !! L'ospedale e la nursery delle tartarughe, grandi e piccolissime, alcune senza un'arto a causa delle reti dei pescatori o delle eliche dei motoscafi comunque curatissime. E la nursery, piccoli esserini che nuotano in grandi vasche in attesa di essere liberata in mare,tenere e già lottatrici pronte a farsi strada nella difficile impresa della sopravivenza - Sono state due esperienze piene di emozioni che ti fanno amare ancora di più gli animali, perchè capisci come sono indifesi di fronte all'uomo e al progresso e come tutti noi dovremmo pensare più spesso a loro. Senza di loro che mondo sarebbe?

Get back in Sri Lanka to Walawa Uda National park, elephant hospital. Impressive and tender at the same time and as obedient a little soldiers. Seeing them at the time of the shared bath is an experience that makes you want to join too, and takes care of the staff who care for them. We leave clean and have a fun as well, are so big but they are puppies. And then , what about a little bit clumsy and so nice.Certainly make you even more tender because they are orfan, but you know how in good hands and then reassures, the adult females,however also take care of the puppies. Carers actually do so with love and many are volunteers. Elephant are returning from injury or ill. There was one, with only three legs, one had been amputated because the wound can cause an accident, had gone gangrenous, was certainly the most pampered.......
And then the turtles!! The hospital and the nursery of turtles, large and small someone without a limb because of some fishing nets or proppelers of the motorboat, still cared. And the nursery,small little creatures that swim in large tanks before being released into the sea,and keep fighters ready to make its way already difficult task of survival . In the two experience were ful of emotion that make you love even more animals, because understand how humans are helpless in the face and progress and how we should all think more often to them. Without them, what kind of world would it be?
